Reflective Cat Collars

Give your pet a fighting chance of being seen at night.  Reflective cat collars will let automobile operators see your pet when it is crossing the road

How many times have you been driving and seen a 
squished animal either in the middle of the road or 
on the side of the road?  There may be a deer, fox or 
a goose.  The animal that is most prevelant to this 
fate is cat and dog.  One way that this may be 
avoided is by the use of reflective cat collars.  

Most of the time a pet will be run over for the simple 
fact that the driver just did not see the animal.  Cats 
are probably run over more than dogs.  The reason 
being cats are about the same size.  They are hard to 
see.  They may have a collar on them with tags 
telling you where they live or what diseases they 
have been vaccinated for, but that will not help 
drivers see them.

Reflective cat collars are a great safety measure to 
give your cat a better chance of survival if it goes 
outside and crossed roads.  A pet reflective collar will 
allow drivers to see your pet in the dark when the 
headlights are shinning on it.  This will allow the 
driver to slow down and not run over your beloved 
pet.  Of course, the driver also has to be paying 
attention to what he or she is doing behind the wheel 
to.  

You also want to make sure that the reflective cat 
collars you are using is a safe cat collar.  If you pet 
likes to climb trees, a breakaway cat safety collar 
would be a good choice.  If the product gets stuck on 
something, it will detach from the cats neck. This 
will prevent it from being stuck or even hanging 
when caught on something.  You can have a 
reflective cat collar that is a safety cat collar also.  

A reflective breakaway cat collar has two safety 
features in one.  Drivers will be able to see the pet in 
the dark and it will not choke the animal if it gets 
stuck on something.  The collar should also be 
adjustable so it can be made the right size as your 
cat gets older.  

If you want to increase your pets ability to be 
noticed, just add a bell.  You can always find cat 
bells in stock at really cheap prices.    Reflective cat 
collars with a bell that will also breakaway when the 
feline is gets the collar stuck on something is a 
consideration every pet owner should take into 
account to protect their pet.  There are a lot of people 
out there that like their pets more than their spouse.  

Whether you you decide to have just reflective cat 
collars, breakaway cat collars or some other type, 
give your pet the best chance it has to not be 
squished by a motor vehicle.
